Pumpkin Pie

Inspiration:

When autumn rolls in, it's time to make pumpkin pie. We don't get tinned pumpkin in the UK - or at least it's not always easy to find, so our pumpkin pies are made from pumpkins grown in our garden over the summer or picked from a nearby pick-your-own farm.

The smell of roasting pumpkin, some of which is used for pie and some of which is used for a soup that will be frozen and served on Bonfire night, fills the house.

The pastry is made, spices added, and finally, the pie is ready for the oven. Making pumpkin pie is an autumnal tradition in our home and a rather delicious one at that. This yarn reminds me of many happy memories created in the kitchen with my children each autumn.

~ Hand Dyed Sock Yarn, 100g

~ Fingering Weight/Sock Yarn

~ High Twist for great stitch definition

~ 75% Superwash Merino, 25% Nylon

~ 425m per 100g

~ Knitting Needle size - 2mm - 3mm/ US 0-2

My yarn bases come from a local supplier that prides itself in sourcing its fibre from reliable suppliers with best practices with regard to animal husbandry and the environment, something that is very important to me.

I use acid dyes unless otherwise stated.
