Something Told the Wild Geese

Hand Dyed Yarn Inspiration:

Something Told the Wild Geese was one of my children's favourtie change-of-season poems. The cry of the geese flying overhead, moving to their winter feeding grounds, is a timely reminder that autumn days are slipping away and giving way to winter.

This skein captures the last days of autumn, the green leaves have given way to the spendid autumnal colours and the hedgerows are heavy with blackberries, hips and haws.

Yarn Details:

This colourway is dyed on a Shiny Sock Base as well as my standard superwash merino/ nylon base.

My yarn bases come from a local supplier who prides itself in sourcing its fibre from reliable suppliers with best practices with regards to animal husbandry and the environment, something that is very important to me. I use acid dyes unless otherwise stated.
