Toffee For Moonface

Hand Dyed Yarn Inspiration:

I remember spending many a happy hour visiting the Magic Faraway Tree in my childhood. I loved going on adventures with Jo, Bessie and Fanny. Enid Blyton had a knack of creating the most wonderful worlds for children to visit, in fact I wouldn't mind living in her storybooks now!

Bessie determined to make the best, sweetest most delicious toffee for Moonface. Mother made sure that she had all the ingrediants to hand and Bessie set about making the toffee. She packaged it up beautifully and set aside one piece each. The children were very busy in the garden so the first opportunity they had to visit the Magic Faraway Tree was one evening. The Enchanted Wood looked quite different in the moonlight. It was simply alive with fairies, pixies and animals. When the children finally reached the Magic Faraway Tree it was strung with lights and twinkled in the moonlight. It was simply delightful! Moonface was simply delighted with the toffee and popped so much in his mouth that he couldn't speak at all...just mumble.

Jo wanted to go and see what land was at the top of the tree. Moonface tried his best t stop him and seemed rather anxios but alas...he could not say a word for his teeth were all stuck together with the toffee. Jo ignored poor old Moonface and ended up being sucked up into the land of ice and snow! What will the children do?

My yarn bases come from a local supplier that prides itself in sourcing its fibre from reliable suppliers with best practices with regard to animal husbandry and the environment, something that is very important to me.

I use acid dyes unless otherwise stated. Disclaimer: I wash all my yarn with wool wash which may aggravate skins that are sensitive to such products. Darker colours may run, bleed or transfer and although I take every precaution to ensure colour fastness I cannot be held responsible for any damage caused by colour transfer or bleeding in a wash.
